ERP System for a Fortune 500 Computer and Printer Manufacturer

HIME Technology's client for their ERP System was a Fortune 500 Company and the largest laptop and printer maintenance factory in China. As the company grew dramatically in sales for their laptop product, they soon realized that there was also a correlated increase in the demand for maintenance. The dramatically growth in the company's laptop product, caused the company's existing maintenance factory to exceed its capacity.

The global corporation without any physical expansion had collaborated with HIME Technology. By implementing HIME Technology's ERP process the company was about to find a streamline solution for the entire maintenance process. The ERP system keeps track of each key component of the workflow and optimizes each to its maximum capacity.

The system was based upon collecting and compiling background information, the information which was captured was the work done by maintenance engineers on assigned repair task. Through a barcode scanning system (embedded C application), information such as beginning time, finishing time, etc were all collected by the terminal application. The information was then sent back to the ERP system to be processed and monitored further.

The ERP system was web enabled with implementation of Java, JSP, Struts. Once the ERP was implemented, the global entity was able to manage the process through a web browser based client to obtain a clear picture of the whole process. The laptop and printer maintenance factory had gained the ability to manage a variety of tasks from inventory control to parts refurbishment and work status and summary reports.
